Film Club continued its quest of showing students classic movies, starting off with “Back to the Future” at its interest meeting on August 30 in Hooper Auditorium.  However, this year, they will do more than just watch movies. “Film Club is going to be more focused on analyzing the movies we watch. Since we often run out of time due to study hours, Frannie and I are going to make sheets with the information we would have discussed on them,” according to co-president Anna Grace Dulaney.

Film Club watches a great variety of films, many with great significance in American culture. “Nothing is set in stone, other than the tradition of watching ‘The Rocky Horror Picture Show’ during Halloween,” states fellow co-president Frannie Edmonson.

Many are excited to explore the wide variety of American films and have a time to unwind from their daily stressors.

“I look forward to seeing movies I’ve never seen and I’m excited about getting to vote on what movie we want to watch. I love watching movies on the projector instead of watching them on my little laptop screen,” states senior Brent Styles.

To anyone that is hesitant to join, Anna Grace states, “I hope everyone will want to be a part of Film Club since it is such a chill and stress-relieving environment!”
