MSMS Science Bowl Team I beat Ocean Springs II 100-28 to claim victory at the Mississippi Regional Science Bowl Friday [Feb. 23].

MSMS I will now compete in the national tournament next month in Washington.

Both MSMS Team I and II competed in Friday’s event. Both made through the initial round robin format unbeaten, but faced each other in the quarterfinals. MSMS Team II shot off to a fast start, but Team I fought back to claim the victory.

The rest of the tournament was comparatively easy for MSMS I, who didn’t concede a tossup in the following semifinal against Walnut.

The Vision will provide additional coverage in the coming days.
