A new state-wide fundraiser is being held at the Mississippi School for Mathematics and Science. MSMS specialty license plates are being sold until September 15, 2017 for the price of $31.00, of which $24.00 will go to the MSMS Foundation in support of the school.

At least 300 tags must be pre-sold before the September 15, 2017 deadline for the Mississippi Department of Revenue to begin production.

“We’re going to do a big publicity push in hope that we can really stir up some interest among students and current parents and alums,” says Julia Morrison, MSMS’s new Coordinator for Public Relations. Morrison assumed her new position on Monday, August 28.

“I think it will be a good way to promote the school,” echoed MSMS senior Aidan Dunkelberg.

A link to the license plate application is available here. A separate application should be filled out for each vehicle. Payment can be made by credit card, cash, or check. Credit card payments can be made online, and cash or check payments can be mailed in with a completed application. Checks should be made out to MSMS Foundation with “MSMS PLUS car tag” written on the memo line. The mailing address is listed on the application.

In the event that an insufficient number of orders are collected, payment made by cash or check will be refunded by the MSMS P.L.U.S (Parents Lending United Support), but online credit payments will not be refunded and will become a donation to the MSMS Excellence Fund, which the Foundation will use in the areas with the most immediate need.
