Goen doubles one senior Kadie Van and junior Iris Xue and mixed team senior Arika Gardner and junior Sai Narla both also won in straight sets.

“I think I played more confidently this week,” Liu said. “I think that goes for everyone and we all had fun.”

“We really needed these two district wins,” coach Troy King added. “We were able to boost our confidence as we go into the last couple games. I was particularly happy about our [Goen] doubles one team, Kadie and Iris. They had a tough game [on Thursday] and them being able to dig down and win boosted everyone’s confidence and we were able to win.”
