Bryant Organizes ‘Fun Day’ for Fellow Students

On March 25,  MSMS hosted its first annual Senior vs. Junior Fun Day. This was organized by junior student Jilkiah Bryant.

“Planning for the fun day had to be one of the most stressful events I’ve ever experienced. It was hard trying to get people to help, but I’m thankful for those who did decide to put in work with me,” Bryant said.

She wanted to do it because she believes students do not have enough activities together and she thought it would help them work together as a group and to build morale among the student body. The students need breaks and ways to relax sometimes, and she felt the fun day would be a perfect way to do that.

“I thought the event was a great opportunity for the seniors and juniors to partake in some friendly competition. The hard work and efforts of the students who planned the fun day were evident in each game and activity. I especially loved the mud volleyball game, everyone rolled around in the mud and I believe there’s a hilarious picture of that somewhere. As a senior, I know my time here at MSMS is slowly coming to a close, so I appreciate every chance I can get to make memories with my best friends and juniors.”  Mariat Thankachan said.

Bryant said she received a lot of positive comments like “Thank you for doing this” and that she do it again next year.

“I thought it was a really great idea and I think everyone had a blast. I feel it was very much needed for both classes. A little friendly competition always brings people together. I had a great time with my class and the juniors and I would love to do it again.” Reagan Conner said.

Myles Spiller agreed. “It was pretty fun, and a good opportunity to relax with friends,” Spiller said.
