The MSMS Wags and Whiskers Club held its 2017-2018 school year interest meeting for students looking to help the Columbus Humane Society.

On Thursday, August 24, Wags and Whiskers was held in Hooper Academic Building, hosted by Vice President Sara Kostmayer and club sponsor, Ms. Angela Jones.

Wags and Whiskers visits the Humane Society twice weekly, bringing students to give attention to animals. Wags and Whiskers also organizes a “petting day” in which MSMS faculty volunteers to bring their pets for students to spend time with during the stressful exams weeks.

“I like animals and I wanted to help organize things in the club to make them run smoother and get more people to join,” said Wags and Whiskers Secretary Liam McDougal, on why he joined the club.

“I enjoy petting and hanging out with the animals the most.” said Kostmayer.

The club is still open for members to join, but a club fee of five dollars is required.
