MSMS Frazer soccer team loses to Nettleton in third match

The MSMS Frazer soccer team lost its third match of the season 7-3 against Nettleton on Nov. 14.

Junior Kyler Boothe scored twice, and junior Allen Lewis scored once. 

The MSMS Goen soccer team did not play. 

Senior co-captain Drew Dowdy said the team grew a lot from this game. 

“Despite the score, we were able to experiment [with] the positions and formations and come out stronger,” Dowdy said. “We learned where people played best. Daniel [Van] is best [as a] midfielder, and Yash [Malhotra] is one heck of a center defensive midfielder.”

MSMS Frazer and Goen soccer teams will face Kemper County away on Dec. 2. Goen and Frazer teams play at 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., respectively.

Joe Yang is a senior from Starkville. He became a part of The Vision to foster his deep love for writing — which he developed from a young age — and use it to keep the MSMS community informed with exciting and timely news. Apart from writing for The Vision, Joe plays for the tennis team and is part of the robotics team, engineering club, computer science club and Mu Alpha Theta. In the future, Joe hopes to go into biomedical engineering. In his free time, he likes to research topics related to cellular biology, watch TikToks and listen to his favorite country music artists.
