The MSMS Frazer soccer team’s playoff hopes continue this Friday after a dramatic 2-1 comeback win against Pisgah High School Wednesday in the second round.

The conditions were rough during Wednesday’s game, with 30-degree weather, rain and a muddy, slippery field. Pisgah scored first near the end of the first half, but MSMS rallied and completed the comeback after halftime.

The Blue Waves’ first goal was scored by senior Osmun Caddell after a skillful cross from Sawyer Levenson. After many close plays, a run-in with a referee and numerous great saves by senior Chase Bryant, junior Sebastian Harvey scored the second goal with another assist from Levenson.

“Sawyer was the MVP. He played brilliantly,” Harvey said. “It’s really amazing going this far. This is the farthest the Frazer team has gone in history, so it’s really a special moment.”

The Blue Waves face St. Andrews High School Friday in Jackson.
