With exam week approaching, students at the Mississippi School for Mathematics and Science are not only feeling the weight of their current grades but also the possible outcomes for finals. For Juniors new to the MSMS way, here are a few tips for dealing with a potential difficult exam week:

  1. Take advantage of tutorial day.
  2. Evenly distribute your time studying.
  3. Charge your calculators or check the batteries before going into a science or math test.
  4. If you are unclear about what to study, just ask–teachers want to help.
  5. Read the book. (It is not just a paper weight) 🙂
  6. Create a study guide.
  7. Try studying in different locations if you can not concentrate.
  8. Get lots of sleep and eat regularly.
  9. Exam snacks are real and they are good. “Or so students say.”
  10. Move your exams if you have more than two a day.
