In this college application season, juniors and seniors alike, are packing their weekends full of the ACT and other college preparatory activities. To facilitate this, MSMS is putting on two seminars that will focus on improving students’ ACT-taking abilities and give students advice and information regarding their current college searches.

On Monday, Oct. 18, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m, Thomas Richardson, an alumnus of MSMS and son of MSMS literature teacher Emma Richardson, will host the “Tackling the ACT” seminar. This seminar will focus on the English and reading sections of the ACT, as Richardson is an English teacher at New Hope High School in Columbus.

On Thursday, Oct. 22, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m, Austin Deskewies from Get2College will host the “College Guide” seminar. This seminar will cover many topics regarding college, from how to choose the right college to basic requirements for college admissions to a short overview of financial aid.

Both seminars will be in Hooper Auditorium and are open to both juniors and seniors.
